We had a brilliant time climbing Snowdon yesterday with RAW Adventures! Mixed abilities group but our guide Neil made the whole experience enjoyable and stress free.Neil set a comfortable pace, made sure everyone was feeling good and shared loads of interesting facts about the local wildlife, plants and history of the area. He also kept the energy of the group upbeat and positive throughout. We felt very well looked after from start to finish and we even got tips for recovery which I have used successfully today!
We had such a great day we're thinking about booking a trip to tackle Ben Nevis next. Highly recommend this company - even if you're new to hiking up mountains.

Just a quick note to thank you all for the smooth and simple process for our Snowdon climb yesterday. Our guide Mark was exceptional! He was so knowledgeable about everything from which route to take in the less than favourable conditions to the history and interesting facts about the area. Mark really was the safe pair of hands that we needed as complete novices. He gave us lots of gentle encouragement when needed and was constantly managing our expectations for each leg of the journey...huge thanks to him, I know I wouldn't have managed it without him.

I would like to say what a great guide Rich was. As you may have heard, my wife started to feel unwell at the summit and he took over and dealt with the issue very well and diffused what could have been a dangerous situation. It showed the benefit of hiring a proper guide. The route up was excellent. Unfortunately, I did not experience walking down so I will come back and do it again!

Hiked up Snowdon with a guide from RAW.. so glad we used them, Larry was brilliant, encouraging us to drink and rest more regularly than we would have done. Larry was fun, pleasant, informative and patient not sure he realised what he was in for. Great day and we were incredibly fortunate with the weather. Highly recommend you use them.

As a family who’d never done any hiking and having seen enough Mountain Rescue programmes on TV to know what can go wrong, we decided to book a guide via Raw. From the start they were brilliant at advising on kit, training (never managed it due to family / teen weekend commitments) and what to expect. The day before we arrived, the Met forecast heavy rain all day, 200 ft cloud base and 40 mile an hour winds. An email from Raw in response to my concerns was very reassuring that they would come up with alternatives if the guide felt it was going to be too much, or enable us to evaluate as we went. When we met our guide Paul, he couldn’t have been more helpful or reassuring and we felt completely comfortable with letting him make the call. The rain started as soon as we met and continued all day. Despite his ‘let’s get to here and then we’ll see’ constant commentary - once we’d crossed the half way stage, I think we all wanted just to get our heads down and push for the summit. And we did. And then wrung out all our clothes and put new ones on (thanks for that advice RAW!). Paul was the perfect guide and companion and we couldn’t have asked for more. The family now wants to do Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis so who knows what?!

We climbed Snowdon with our fabulous RAW Adventures guide who made the very best of a bad weather situation by thoughtfully guiding us to the trails that were more protected by wind. Would definitely work with RAW again, great outfit.

We had the most extraordinary weather for our climb up Snowdon. It was hot and clear with blue skies at the top. We did not expect that! Further, we had two lovely guides, who made it fun and it felt really safe and well planned. I would definitely use RAW Adventures again for any future challenges.

I had the absolute pleasure of doing the Crib Goch Horseshoe with John, and I can honestly say the whole experience was incredible. It was just the two of us, and from start to finish, he made me feel safe, supported, and totally at ease. His calm, friendly nature made it feel more like hiking with a knowledgeable friend than anything else. Crib Goch can be an intimidating route, but John guided with quiet confidence—never pushy, always encouraging. He let me take the lead when I wanted, offered reassurance on trickier sections, and was just really easy to talk to throughout. His passion for the mountains really shone through. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day. If you're considering this route and want someone who genuinely cares and knows their stuff, I’d recommend John in a heartbeat.

Our guide, Larry, was absolutely AMAZING!!! I've been with many other guides on many treks throughout the world, and Larry was hands down, the best guide I've ever had!! I've been to Machu Picchu, Patagonia, etc. We were a group of 8 women doing the climb up Snowdon in Wales. Some of us were nervous about completing the climb, but Larry was very encouraging, patient and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the route as well as the safety of your team. It was a beautiful day, but also quite hot. Larry offered extra water and other extra items in case we forgot anything (luckily, we didn't). I loved that he knew a lot about rock climbing in the area because I was very interested in that too. Probably one of the best qualities about him was his caring nature for everyone in the team. He made us feel comfortable and supported. I can't give him enough praise!

The whole experience was EPIC! Our guide Leon was fantastic, really knowledgeable! He also gave us great tips about the climb itself and how to avoid injury and conserve energy. We took a route that was less congested and at some points it was just our small group of 5 amongst some outstanding natural beauty. Snowdon was an amazing experience. I’ve also booked Scafell Pike with RAW Adventures and am really looking forward to it.

Great guides who gave a lot of information during the walk, it did take a bit longer than expected but still reached the top and all levels of fitness and abilities were accounted for with regular breaks. Had great weather which always helps, and I would certainly recommend. The emails beforehand provided clear information of what to bring and where to meet.

One overweight, asthmatic had a stupid idea and dragged 3 willing, but naive friends along for the ride. Our guide Neil was a saint. A patient, potentially frazzled saint. He was the pillar of encouragement. Without him I would have laid down and waited for sweet, blissful death. It was the worst and best day of my life and Neil made it less traumatic with his knowledge, encouragement and support. As stupid ideas go, I've had many but I'm proud of this one. I highly recommend RAW Adventures if you decide to do a hike up a mountain, unprepared, fat and overly optimistic.

Jen and her team were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, in getting out crew of about 30 safely up and down Yr Wyddfa, on two great scenic trails.

Excellent guide. We couldn’t have completed the climb without him! When my daughter (now 11) was six, she asked if the two of us could climb a mountain one day. That day came and I booked with Climb Snowdon instead of attempting it by ourselves so that I could focus on our time together and not worrying about reading the map and choosing what path to take. Our instructor was Conor and after meeting us in the car park in Llanberis for a safety briefing and kit check, we set off. We were a very mixed ability group and Conor coped with this effortlessly, with a calm sense of humour and endless words of encouragement. He had the patience of a Saint! Without Conor we would have turned back. He was an expert in all things Snowdon, the weather, clothing hacks, pathway tips and photography - in very adverse weather conditions he still got a great photo of my daughter and me when my hands and phone were too cold to work at the summit! Highly recommend. Thank you for everything.

Fantastic! Was nice walking up the quieter route - our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to spend the day with! Our group was friendly, and the conversation flowed - which made the time go really quickly! As for Snowdon - well what can I say?? - STUNNING! Views all along were amazing - 100% recommend using a guide - and it a great way to meet new people as well! Thankyou! We are considering climbing Ben Nevis next - will be enlisting the guidance of RAW Adventures again!

We had a fantastic experience with RAW Adventures during our recent hike up Snowdon. Despite everyone saying that you don't need a guide, we found that this offered a different route to the summit that was much quieter than the tourist ones. Kyle was informative and knowledgeable about the mountain and surrounding area and encouraged all of the group - ensuring that we all reached the summit, despite different abilities. We would definitely use them again for a more unique experience!

My friend and I had the most wonderful day walking up Yr Wyddfa on 12th April. We had not met any of the other walkers before, but everyone was so friendly and easy to talk to. Our leaders, Reece and Chris, were both amazing with lots of interesting facts and folklore. Nick, who was shadowing Reece and Chris, was also great. We were lucky to have very good weather and had glorious views all the way up to the summit, at the summit and on the way down. I recommend RAW Adventures.

Jen, our guide, was fantastic from the moment we met right through to the very end of our day. Her guidance and knowledge were excellent alongside offering us all the encouragement and motivation we needed to achieve our first mountain. Great leadership with a good sense of humour. I thoroughly enjoyed my open climb experience and would highly recommend RAW adventures. The climb was foggy and cold but the views on our descent were spectacular.
